Veress needle
VN-120 and VN-150 with a 2 mm needle body, VN-120L and VN-150L with 2.4 mm, at working lengths of 120 and 150 mm, with a 3 L venting capacity and a 304 stainless needle
Tissue retrieval bag
HSD-40 to HSD-130 from 40 to 700 ml through a 10 mm cap, HSD-40/S and HSD-60/S through a 5 mm cap, and the D family from 150 to 1000 ml on 10, 12 and 15 mm shafts; the bag carries 1 kg undamaged
Suction irrigation set
Shaft lengths of 330, 430 and 450 mm at 5 mm diameter, with a transparent handpiece

Single-use trocars, trocar kits and Veress needles to establish and keep pneumoperitoneum, with tissue retrieval bags and suction irrigation sets for the same laparoscopic list. The trocars run from 5 to 15 mm, with an optical or a bladed obturator.

In which cases?

  • First port entry, optical or bladed, by the technique the surgeon uses.
  • Establishing pneumoperitoneum with a Veress needle before the first port.
  • The cases the retrieval bag is used in: gynecologic surgery, appendectomy, nephrectomy and gallbladder surgery.
  • Long cases with many instrument exchanges through one valve.

What makes it different?

  • The universal seal takes instruments from 5 to 15 mm with no adapter and is replaced without removing the cannula.
  • On the Veress needle the warning block moves up as the needle advances and returns with a light click when the peritoneum is punctured.
  • The retrieval bag is supplied with a 5 mm and a 10 mm cap, so it passes through a narrow and a wide port.

Frequently asked questions

Which trocar diameters are supplied?

Twenty-one trocars and trocar kits at 5, 10, 12 and 15 mm, with working lengths of 75, 100 and 150 mm.

What is the difference between the optical and the bladed trocar?

They differ in the working mode of the obturator. On the optical type (CT-F) an endoscope is seated inside the obturator and the entry is followed through it; at 15 mm the obturator is one piece and is not used with an endoscope. The bladed type (CT-A) carries a screen block on the cannula where the optical type has its lock, and its blade is protected by an atraumatic housing.
