A single-use cannulation catheter used for selective biliary or pancreatic duct access during ERCP.

In which cases?

  • Selective cannulation of the common bile duct or of the pancreatic duct.
  • Cholangiography or pancreatography with the guidewire left in the duct.
  • A difficult papilla, where the tapered tip is tried.
  • Wire-guided access held while the sphincterotome or a stent is brought in.

What makes it different?

  • Contrast is injected with the guidewire in place, so ductal access is not given up to opacify the duct.
  • Colour marks along the shaft, so cannulation depth is read off the endoscopic image.
  • A radiopaque tip, so the catheter is followed under fluoroscopy as it goes into the duct.
