Set components: An outer tube of 180 cm with the metal diathermy tip at its distal end and a lateral high-frequency connector at its proximal end, and an inner catheter of 210 cm with the puncture needle at its distal end and a Luer lock plus a high-frequency connector at its proximal end

A dedicated set for endoscopic ultrasound-guided drainage of pancreatic pseudocysts and walled-off necrosis into the stomach or duodenum.

In which cases?

Pancreatic pseudocyst drainage, transgastric or transduodenal, under EUS guidance.
Walled off pancreatic necrosis, where the tract is kept open with stents.
Smaller working channels, where the 6 French cystotome version is advanced over a 0.035″ guidewire.

What makes it different?

Puncture and dilation in one device the needle knife enters and the diathermic tip on the outer catheter widens the tract, so nothing is exchanged between the two steps.
Two high frequency connectors in the set, one for the needle knife and one for the diathermic tip.
The inner catheter runs about 20 cm longer than the outer Teflon tube, so the needle reaches beyond the diathermic tip and both connectors stay outside.
Takes 8.5 and 10 French double pigtail stents from the same portfolio for continued drainage.

Which sizes are there, and what is in each set?

Three: a 6 French cystotome and a cysto-gastro set at 8.5 and 10 French. The cystotome is the outer tube alone. The 8.5 and the 10 French set carry two components, the outer tube with the diathermy tip and the inner catheter with the puncture needle, each packed sterile on its own with one copy of the instructions for use in the box.

What does the procedure need from the generator?

A maximum power of 300 W and a maximum high-frequency voltage of 1600 V peak, with a generator that has an Endo-Cut function. Before another generator is used its compatibility is checked against its own documents.
