Single-use plastic drainage stents for the bile duct and for EUS-guided pseudocyst drainage, including double-pigtail designs.
Four forms: straight, curved, pigtail and double pigtail. The straight and the curved stent carry flaps; the pigtail and the double pigtail do not, and those two need no positioning arm.
According to the manufacturer the longest reported retention time of a plastic biliary stent is 30 days, because of internal deposits and enzymatic degradation. The retention time in a given patient is the physician's decision.
