Sclerotherapy Needle

A retractable injection needle used to deliver sclerosing agents during endoscopy.

In which cases?

  • Oesophageal varices treated by injection.

What makes it different?

  • The needle locks out and retracts with one hand, so the other hand stays on the scope.
  • The retracted needle travels inside the sheath, so the working channel is not scored on the way in.
  • Transparent tubing, so the flow of injectate is watched while it is given.
  • An ergonomic handle with a needle lock, so the exposed needle length is fixed before the puncture.
