Endoscopic biopsy forceps for obtaining mucosal tissue samples during upper and lower GI endoscopy, in single-use and reusable families.
Reprocessing. The single-use forceps comes sterile from the factory and is used on one patient. The reusable forceps is supplied non-sterile, is autoclaved before the first use and reprocessed between cases; that family also offers a metal or a plastic handle and a standard, a flat or a teflon-coated spiral. The models table lists the single-use family, cup, diameter and working length model by model.
A single-use biopsy forceps with a high-frequency connector. It works only with an endoscope, a high-frequency generator and an active cord, and is in class IIb. Application to the central cardiovascular system and use in a patient with Creutzfeldt Jakob disease are contraindications.
