What is a gastric balloon and how is it applied?
The gastric balloon is a non-surgical solution for obesity.
By significantly reducing the stomach volume, it helps patients feel a continuous sense of fullness, making it easier to follow a personalized diet program. This allows the patient to lose weight steadily and achieve the targeted weight loss.
Using an endoscopic method, an empty balloon is inserted through the mouth into the stomach. The balloon is then inflated with saline and air, partially filling the stomach and creating a feeling of fullness, thereby reducing food intake. It supports the diet program by enhancing the individual’s willpower and making the process more enjoyable.
