Endocystotomes are consumables used to create channels of appropriate size for stents needed for drainage of cysts adjacent to the digestive system.

They are available in 6 Fr, 8.5 Fr, and 10 Fr sizes for appropriate use.

Endocystotomes allow for the preparation of the desired channel for stent placement without any dilation procedure, thus providing an advantage with shorter case procedures.

Drainage of Pancreatic Pseudocysts (Endoscopic cystogastrostomy): Drainage of pseudocysts that persist for more than 6 weeks and are larger than 6 cm is necessary. Drainage is generally not required for cysts smaller than 4 cm.

If the cyst is causing pain, obstruction, bleeding, or thrombosis, repair of rapid growth is necessary. The ideal pseudocyst for drainage is one that has been present for more than 6 weeks and is compressing the large stomach or proximal duodenum.
