The world’s newest endoluminal accessory designed to enable precise positioning of the endoscope within the large intestine, assisting with optical visualization, diagnosis, and endoscopic therapy.

DiLumen™ EIP consists of a soft, flexible sleeve that fits both standard and small-diameter colonoscopes. The platform utilizes two balloons: one located behind the bending section of the colonoscope and the other in front of the colonoscope tip. When both balloons are deployed and inflated, the area between them is stabilized. This forms the Therapeutic Zone (TZ), which facilitates tissue stabilization, insufflation, and manipulation, allowing the clinician to treat the target area more effectively. After therapy is complete, the balloons are simply deflated and removed along with the colonoscope.

Potential Benefits of DiLumen™:
• Significantly reduces scope slippage and loss of position by securing the scope head in place.
• Balloon occlusion of the colon segment may reduce waste migration into the therapeutic zone.
• Insufflation and suction are confined to the TZ, reducing the time needed for re-insufflation.
• The balloons grip the colon wall, while push rods can be advanced or retracted to straighten folds or bring tissue closer to the scope tip.
• Balloons can be rapidly and independently inflated or deflated, allowing for a wide range of potential maneuvers to manipulate tissue or reposition instruments.

DILUMEN CLINICAL OBJECTIVES:
• Improved patient outcomes and satisfaction
• Reduced complications and shorter hospital stays
• Lower healthcare system costs
