Helicobacter pylori colonizes and multiplies in the mucosa of the human stomach or duodenum. It is one of the most common infections worldwide. If left untreated, Helicobacter pylori can lead to conditions such as inflammation, ulcers, and cancer. Patients often present to hospitals with complaints of upper abdominal bloating, indigestion, and pain. The Helicobacter pylori test is a very easy, practical, and reliable test.
The Helicobacter pylori test is designed to detect the urease activity of Helicobacter pylori present in a gastric biopsy sample.
The urea in the test cassette is broken down by the urease enzyme from the sample, releasing ammonia gas. This gas changes the color of the indicator in the test cassette from yellow to pink/red.

The reaction occurs as follows:
• After placing the biopsy sample into the test cassette, a color change towards pink/red tones is observed within 1 minute, depending on the bacterial load in the biopsy.
• If no color change occurs, the result is negative. Waiting up to 1 hour is sufficient to confirm a negative result.
• A definitive result is obtained between 1 minute and 1 hour.

Each cassette of our Endosfer Rapid Urease Test Kit contains one sample collection swab. Additionally, each box of 50 tests includes one positive control solution.
The kit does not require cold chain storage and can be kept until the expiration date indicated on the label.
